Are any of you struggling to think up ideas for our photography competition?
We thought we'd give you some inspiration, since 'Diversity' is a very broad topic!
- How about a close up photo of the bottom of a bunch of coloured pencils?
- There are so many varieties of leaves around at the moment-why not take a landscape photo of them?
- You could also get a couple of your friends together and show their similarities and differences?
- Maybe you could even get your grandparent and your younger siblings or cousins together to show diversity of age?
Hope these ideas have fuelled your creativity, and don't forget to enter the competition in either the 'Diversity' or the 'Around School' category. The deadline is Friday 2nd December so get snapping and email the photos to us at
arrow_magazine@hotmail.co.uk
Yet another new competition!
We're running a photography competition, open to all years and even teachers.
The three main categories are:
- Photos from Around School
- Diversity
- Interests - this one is for teachers only, so we can see what they get up to in their spare time...
The deadline date is Friday 2nd December
and you can email your entries to:
arrow_magazine@hotmail.co.uk
Around three winning entries will be picked from each category and the overall winner might even bag the front page of the magazine.
So pick up your cameras and start snapping!
We have a brand new compeition out open to all lower school students.
We are looking for a piece of creative writing, no more than 500 words, to put in the magazine. The theme is ‘The Future’, but that doesn't have to be your title. You can write about aliens, technology, time travel, where you want to be in ten years time - surprise us with your ideas!
As well as having their work published in the magazine, the winner will receive a £15 voucher of their choice. The two runners-up will each receive a prize of chocolates, and have their work put up for everyone to read, here, on the blog.
The deadline for the competition is Friday 2nd December. Those who wish to enter can either give their work to their English teacher to give to us, or email it directly to us at arrow_magazine@hotmail.co.uk
We look forward to reading your work!
